Local Agency Helps Promote State Website
Delaware to residents, businesses and visitors: “Get Out.”

WILMINGTON – September 5, 2006 – The State of Delaware is promoting the “Official Website of the First State” with provocative statements such as “get out,” “get started,” “go fishing,” and “got school?”.

Created by WH2P Marketing Communications, a full-service advertising and communications firm, the promotion campaign features brochures, posters, bookmarks, and other materials inviting the public to log onto the State’s award-winning website for “anything Delaware.” The site was named the top state web portal in the nation in the Center for Digital Government’s Tenth Annual “Best of the Web” competition in 2005.

WH2P worked closely with the State’s Government Information Center to spread the word that both de.gov and delaware.gov provide one-stop browsing for news, history, weather, events, licenses, permits, and beautiful photos of the First State.

While posters have already gone up in State office buildings and bookmarks are in area libraries for distribution, the campaign kick-off took place at the Delaware State Fair, July 20-29 in Harrington.

Greg Hughes, spokesperson for the State’s Government Information Office, is excited about the campaign and enthusiastic about working with WH2P. “I am all-around pleased with the experience.
